to drive in these mountains,you need to be a very skilled driver and we were so lucky to have an amazing driver for our two weeks of travelling across these mountains and valleys…

In 2003. The architect-bureau I worked in, took a trip to Ladakh to celebrate it’s 10th anniversary. We stayed near Leh. Great. Spiti sounds very familiar, but I’m not good in names… I’m enjoying your trip a lot.

Lovely images. Most of our lorry drivers in the UK very rarely see anything much more than our long and boring motorways but it looks like those drivers get lovely mountains and valleys 🙂

🙂 george,not all lorry drivers in india can do these roads though:)only specialised mountain drivers as far as i know:)
